Las Vegas is famous for enormous, extravagant casinos, beautiful hotels free flowing alcohol and a wide variety of entertainment geared towards adults. Sin City offers numerous opportunities to gamble, even at the small grocery stores and at McCarran airport. However, please be aware that in Las Vegas as well as all of Nevada state law stipulates that all gamblers must be at least 21 years of age.
Las Vegas is the biggest city in the state of Nevada and is internationally famous, as a major hotel and resort city, for gambling, shopping, and entertainment.
The name Las Vegas often incorporates the areas of Clark County that border the city, especially the resort areas near the Las Vegas Strip. This four-and-a-half mile length of Las Vegas Boulevard is almost entirely outside the city limits, in the unincorporated districts of Paradise and Winchester.
Weather in Las Vegas - Las Vegas is notorious for its unbearable heat and dry air during the summers, but, contrary to popular belief, the weather is actually quite pleasant most of the year. From June to September, the warmer months, the temperatures are totally tolerable. Summer highs linger around 100°F (38°C), with no humidity, but nearly the entire city is air-conditioned. Bear in mind that Las Vegas is in a desert, and desert nights can be very cold, mainly between late autumn and early spring. If you visit Vegas during these months remember to bring along a sweater or windbreaker if you go for an evening stroll.
